Florida!

Image result for veterans day pictures

First off I would like to say happy late Veterans Day to all of the veterans!  Many people don't celebrate nor even acknowledge this day, but this day is very important.  This day is the day we honor all of the veterans who fought for our country and I am very thankful

This week has been sort of laid back.  Work has been going pretty well and less running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  We haven't been having so many change overs to do just straight runs on the same product.  Thank God!  This week Akayla got her progress report and I am one proud mommy! Akayla had an A and a B, and she was voted student of the month "YAH"!

If I didn't live here I would probably live in Florida.  My family and I have vacationed in Florida twice.  We went to Destin, Florida, and Tampa, Florida, and we had a blast both times.  The view in Florida is very nice.  We went to the beach and to a couple of amusement parks, and I believe I had more fun than the kids.  LOL!  We went to an amazing restaurant in Destin, Florida named Fudpucker.  If anyone every goes to vacation there I recommend you stop by, you will enjoy it as well as the kids.  They have a place where the kids can go and feed real live alligators, and they have like a little dance section for the kids to dance and just have a good time, and the food is amazing!  During our vacation in Florida we also went to an excellent children's museum for kids.  The museum was every educational and Akala enjoyed it.

I would love to live in Florida because there is always something to do there.  Also, if you love the beach like I do it would be an excellent place to live.  I look forward to visiting Florida sometime soon in the near future!

My Favorite Girl!

It's November one of my favorite months of the year good eating, and I can't wait!

This week has been pretty much the same as any other week, busy.  Well I can say that I am supper excited because next week we will be off work until after Thanksgiving holidays, and I am counting down the days.  While I'm off I plan to take Akayla's hair down and redo it because I haven't really had the time I've been busy with school and work.  Yesterday Akayla had to cheer at a game in Shannon, and we were soaked.  It rained us out, everyone was wet and covered in mud, but the boys played a good game.  They didn't win the game, and they were very disappointed I watched the little boys walk off the field with tears in their eyes.  It hurt my heart to see the little boys like that, but they did well for their age.  The boys they played were supposed to have been seven and eight year olds, but they were way bigger.  Those boys tossed our little boys around like paper!  The boys know now that they have to play tough!

Kids are amazing! I absolutely adore my little girl Akayla.  She is the reason why I work so hard to accomplish my dreams.  She is my favorite girl!  She is my favorite person!  The Lord blessed me with Akayla nine years ago and my whole world changed.  When I first got pregnant with Akayla I just knew that my life was over, but it was just a beginning of a new chapter in my life.  Akayla has really changed me in so many ways as a person and for that I am thankful for her.

Akayla is very much a girly girl.  She loves to get her nails done, go shopping and talk on the phone with her best friend Makayla.  By her being the only child she sometimes tend to get bored.  Akayla loves to read.  Everywhere we go if it's to a game, or to the store, she will grad a book and read.
One day I hope to provide Akayla with the things that I wasn't able to have as a child when I was growing up.  Also, I want Akayla to know that she always has someone even when she think she has no one.

Piece of My Life!

Hello everyone! This week my daughter and I both have birthdays to celebrate. "Whoop, whoop!"  We are both super excited.  Akayla was born on the 27th and I was born on the 30th of October.  We were both almost Halloween babies! LOL!  For Akayla's birthday her and some of her friends are going to have a girls day out. Their day will consist of bowling, bumper cars, and jumpers; they are all are looking forward to having a wonderful time.   For my birthday me and my pattern have a romantic outing planned in Memphis, Tennessee, I cannot wait.  I know that we are going to have a ball. It's always nice for me to get out and enjoy myself because these times do not come around as often either I'm working, taking care of Akayla or doing school work.  Everything seems like it's too much now and it makes me want to give up on my dreams, but I refuse to let the devil win I shall succeed!

Life for me has not always been easy. I've never had anything just handed to me on a silver spoon.  Coming from a big family things around here got tough.  My mom was a single parent of seven children I'm not the youngest but I'm next to the youngest.  I have four sisters and two brothers on my mom side; my oldest brother is deceased.  We lost my oldest brother in March of 2013 to gun violence and it affected our family tremendously.   Dealing with the death of a love one is very hard because those thoughts and memories never go away especially when you still see the person who committed the crime walking around free.  Throughout it all my family and I have been really strong and have learned that some things are not for us to handle.  We just leave it in God's hands, and everything will work itself out.  Whenever I hear Mariah Carey's song "One Sweet Day" featuring Boys II Men it makes me think of my brother, that's why it's one of my favorite songs.

Also, The Showers, "Better" is another one of my favorite songs.  This song inspires me to want to do better, especially when I know that I am capable of doing whatever it is that I want to do in life.  Over the past years I've been dealing with trying to find myself as a person.  Growing up I never had the guidance that I needed.  I really didn't have anyone to tell me to go ahead and follow your dreams.  Out of all my mom's kids only four of us graduated from high school, and none of us have graduated from college.  If things go as planned; I will be the first of my mom kids to graduate college.  I've always knew that I wanted to finish school, but over the years I kept putting it off and making up excuses.  One particular morning someone and I was having a conversation and they said something to me about not being good enough or that I didn't meet their standards.  Those words hurt me so bad, but that inspired me to get up and do something about it.  The next morning I rode down the highway in tears to register for school again.  Even though my feelings were hurt I'm glad that things happened the way they did.

One day I want to be able to help people who do not have any guidance in their lives or the people who do not have the support that they need in life to become successful.  There are people who think that it's to late too fix your problems or whatever it is that you are dealing with, but it's never too late.  Always follow your dreams!

About Me!

Me on the Left, along with some close friends!

Hi! My name is Angelica Gladney most people call me "bug". LOL (laugh out loud) I know, funny right. I ask my mom all the time where in the world did she get that nick name from. I am twenty six years of age. I am a single mother to a beautiful eight year old named Akayla. Being a single mother can get hectic and stressful at times, but I wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world. In my spare time I love to spend time with my daughter, hang out with friends, and shop. My life right now is very busy and can get really crazy at times. Let me tell you what a typical day is like for me.

I work for a company by the name of MTD products on night shift, my schedule if from 5:30 p.m. till 4:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. As you can see this place is taking over my whole life, everything revolves around MTD, but with having a child and bills someone has to do it huh? LOL (laughing out loud). After working all night I come home take a shower and stay up until 6:00 a.m. to get my baby ready for school. When I send her off for school I sleep all the way up until 2:00 p.m. and some days I have to get up earlier than that because I may have work to do or errand's to run. Akayla normally makes it home around 4:00 p.m. everyday from school and we start on homework before its time for me to leave for work. Akayla is also a cheerleader for a local football team in the area called the Aberdeen Knights. They have practice every Monday and they have games on every Saturday. This is pretty much my everyday routine.

What people don't know about me is that I am very shy.  I can't say that I'm not a people person, I just have to get to know you before I start to communicate with you.  A lot of people think that I am mean, but I'm actually not.  They tell me that I look mean, but when they start to talk to me and get to know me they tell  me that I am the sweetest person.  I just don't be aware of my expressions. LOL.
